Lauren McGuire has represented Canada at 6 World Cups including the 3000m, 5000m, 1500m, and the Team Pursuit.
She made her debut on the World Cup Circuit in the Fall of 2013, and is a double silver North American Championship medalist in the 3000m and the 1500m.
Increasing awareness for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is of utmost importance in Lauren's outreach in the community. She has taken the role as a spokesperson for the ALS WALK in Ottawa, to help raise awareness through speaking events, and social media. It's time to start getting answers and treatment for this debilitating neurological disease.
Sharing her journey through public speaking events has become a huge passion for Lauren. She became part of the YES Program through the Canadian Sport Institute where she reaches out to young children at schools about aspiring towards their goals. She also speaks at various events and corporate functions sharing her insight and inspiration.
Lauren is also part of the Clean Air Champion Program where she speaks at schools to about the importance of our environment and health.
